    January moves

We've a couple of weeks until Mark McGhee gets the chance to tinker with the squad, how do we think it will go?

McGhee was certainly good at twisting Boyle's arm for cash and obviously flew out to see Hutchison recently...Les showed last year he wasn't against dipping into his (though in the long-term, our) pocket when he thought it required. Will there be a repeat or will he be cautious with burned fingers after Baraclough?

We will surely lose a goalkeeper - there's no way we can justify three seniors at the club. I guess we'll try to renew Ripley's loan and if that works cut a deal to free Twardzik early. Otherwise Samson and Twardzik fight it out to summer - hardly inspiring but not necessarily fatal, though it requires outfield performances more akin to 2013-14 than 2014-15 if we're to protect the latter.

In the defence Craig Reid is scheduled to return from St Mirren, we'll need to see if the new boss there wants an extension but five appearances (including a red card) si

I certainly can't see Hutchinson splashing any more cash. It would have to be player's out before we can get anyone else in. In McGhee"s last spell he went with a small squad but it had quality. I can't see a lot of changes but hopefully we can freshen things up a little.

Pretty much agree with the original post. I'dd only add Craig Moore to that list. I think he is due to return from Ayr but has been out injured. Overall some modest wheeling and dealing seems likely.
