    Arabs Down ?

Never pleased to see the unclean win a game, but that result does us no harm. Utd 11 points adrift and it's looking like they'll be dropping down the leagues. Who'd have thought that a couple of seasons back?

They seem to keep running into opposition players and losing ball can't believe how easy they lost the ball tonight and there defending is shocking yet at some points looked good going forward but with 16 games to go even winning half would not be enough IMO

You can't sell your 6 best players and expect to stay up. When they cleared their debt was there not a kick back to the bank on future player sales and a timetable this could be achieved within? As well of course Jackie cut but that now looks like a smokescreen to divert the fans attention away from the real asset strippers.

A completely mismanaged club under the Thompson.

They're by no means down yet and will splash the cash between now and the end of the month. Irrespective of selling their 6 best players their playing budget should have been high enough to ensure a very high standard of squad overall.

Their overall debt was "wiped out" but the details were never made clear. Certainly they attracted new investors who "donated" money to the club but I understand that this was in return for a cut of the fairly hefty transfer fees that they've received in the last year or two.

I stil have a feeling United will end 11th and stay up.

They deserve to go down for how they chucked McNamara under the bus though.

Have to disagree there isn't any team who have been in their position in January in the last 15/20 seasons who didnt stay where they were. Teams need to start some kind of kick in early December (as Ross County did). Dundee Utd don't even look remotely competent. Even if they sign 6 players they still have a mountain to climb. I think Utd down and Accies (hopefully in 11th) that said the bottom six is so tight a couple of bad results you are staring the play offs in the face. We really need to stack away a few points over the next 3/4 weeks to try and get out of that group..

Agreed we do need to gate some point on the board to distance ourselves from the pack at the bottom. The manager has done well with the players he inherited and will doubtless try to sign a midfielder in January transfer window. There will be a few bumps in the road of course but I expect we wil be ok As for Utd seems thy are in real trouble they have also recalled Henry Anier fro Hibs.

Aye, logically you're right - it's just a feeling I have, I think they will sign players, improve and I can see the arse falling out of someone - Accies or Killie would

If we show the same lack of desire and commitment as we did today, and the total failure to pass the ball consistently to a team mate, then IMO Dundee United are not already down.We could still have to play them another three times in the league lose those games and the points safety net comes tumbling down.If rumours are true we are believed to be looking at a 26 year old who is currently with a club in the English Championship and not getting game time no idea as to his identity .
