    The other board

Is having real problems today. Hanging, and just not opening.

Also Deano is looking for somebody else to take it on.

Well, the first thing I'd have to do would be to reassure everybody that I DON'T run a trust board. Deano seems like a nice bloke, but he's forever trying to run a fine line between his Trust stuff and keeping his boarders happy. Sorry Deano, it's one or the other.

It's a no from me by the way.

I don't believe Trust Boy would hand over the management of the Trust forum to anyone who isn't going to continue running things from a Trust perspective. So even if you applied, Griff, I don't believe you'd get the gig.

I really hope they can fix the problem over there so the numpties who used to post on here don't return.

"THE TRUST CAN GET BACK TO DOING WHAT IT WAS SET UP TO DO"

By this do you mean the "Mileson" plan of letting the club go bankrupt and picking up the pieces at the bottom of the non-league pyramid?

    NO NOT AT ALL TIMOTHY

FAN OWNERSHIP WHERE PEOPLE REALISE THAT WHERE 3000 PEOPLE PUT IN 300 POUNDS A YEAR IN [ WHICH THEY GET BACK IN THE FORM OF DISCOUNTS] IS A BETTER MODEL GOING FORWARD THAN RELYING ON ONE MAN TO KEEP LOANING THE CLUB MONEY TO PROP IT UP AND THE UNCERTAINTY ABOUT WHAT HIS DEATH WOULD BRING WHICH WOULD IN ALL LIKELIHOOD BE THE VERY SCENARIO THAT YOU SUGGEST

Just a few small problems with that business plan.

    £300 x 3000 = £900,000

Then you have to subtract the "discounts" you've promised from the overall total - which you say will equal the amount paid - so you'd be offering £900,000 in discounts? Where is the overall benefit to the club? Even if people only take up 50% of the discounts offered (which is a conservative estimate) you're left with a capital injection of £450,000 - which is hardly going to change the world. Consider an average gate of 3000 @ £15 (overall) a head should give you revenue of £1,035,000 over a season - based on 23 games - what makes you think this customer group are suddenly going to want to pay a third more?

Effectively you'll be asking supporters to give money to the trust, who own shares in the holding company, who own shares in the club. So the supporters in this scenario will be four steps removed from having any real influence, all they would be effectively be doing is propping up and validating th

Tim, how does Jenkins get his money back in that scenario? From the share issue? In which case we're debt free but with no more working capital (possibly).

Only one has contacted me. If you know of somebody else, ask them to email me please ([email protected]).

For the records Tim, I'm happy to hand over control to anybody who wants to run it, regardless of their feelings towards CUOSC/CUOSC members.
