Thread: A good Tuesday...

    A good Tuesday...

Hearts and Ross County do the business against ICT and Killie.

Fingers crossed for some more favours tomorrow...

They are helpful results but only actually become good results if we do the biz against Accies on Saturday. That said they must be panic stricken at Rugby Park if Utd win their two games in hand they only trail Killie by 2 points. As long as we can avoid it Id much rather see Accies in bother than Kilmarnock.

Don't care who is in trouble down at the bottom end of the league so long as it's not MOTHERWELL FC

A great, not good, Tuesday - 6th spot's now the target. Then again, that could be the Merlot kicking in due to me being off work tomorrow !

    If, on Wednesday...

    Celtic beat Dundee
    Dundee United lose to Aberdeen
    St.Johnstone beat Partick

    And, on Saturday...
    Hearts beat Partick
    Motherwell beat Accies

    The table will look like...

    6. Dundee 35 points from 28 games
    7. Motherwell 35 from 29
    8. Inverness 33 from 27
    9. Partick 31 from 27
    10. Accies 30 from 29
    11. Killie 28 from 29
    12. United 20 from 28

So put the merlot down...even if all five results went our way (which surely won't happen), we'd still be outsiders to finish sixth. But a lot closer to safety at least!

Are you suggesting I substitute the Merlot with Buckie? Ahh, 'substitute' ... you listening McGhoo? Any chance you'll use a couple when the old guys are run into the ground ?

Quite happy with last night's results but we have to take advantage of them. I doubt if Killie's loss will have done their morale much good.

The most important thing, as has been the case for 2 seasons now is staying up, and hopefully not down to the wire. The playoff euphoria served as a memory block to the dross that had preceded and we did virtually nothing to change tact going into this season. There has to be changes. First and most importantly in the playing squad. Our signings have been poor, our default is to sign ex or older players. Must of the younger signings, Moult apart, not been good enough.
The club needs to create a vision and plan to bring all elements together, no mater how tough it is to take. Aimlessly going round in circles is no fun anymore.
For this years euphoria lets hope the wee pub team from across the Clyde go bye bye.

Yes we need something on Saturday but no matter what last nights results were still great fir us and st johnstone and Aberdeen victories tonight would be as perfect a week u can have without playing

It was a good Tuesday, but we must make it work for us by winning our own games. We need a result on Saturday to make sure we don't slip any closer to the play off spot. Killie must be feeling the jitters big time at the moment with utd gaining a bit of momentum.
