take note, this could have been another Bradford.

We have had debates before about flares and smokes bombs on here and been told to get a life (in colourful language) by a minority of idiots who think it's a laugh, well I hope they take note of this and think again (doubt it).

Exeter City v Carlise Utd had to be delayed after about 7mins, players were took off the pitch and fans in the main stand were led onto the pitch because there was smoke coming from behind the stand, three fire crews turned up.

Eventually fans were able to go back to the stand and the game re-started.

All this caused by a mindless lad who thought it would be fun to take a flare/smoke bomb to the game.

Luckily no injuries but how frightening must that have been especially for the kids

These people are brain dead...not sure why the authorities find it so difficult to find them and then endangering life should be taken into account in punishment decisions.

I dare not think what Bradford family members think when they see this behaviour...Do we learn anything?

Football fans never seem to learn yet whinge like hell when their human rights are regulated by the police and stewards.

We hear and see it times over on tv and in the media where flares have been set off but the culprits are never found..... Well now they have one as he was swiftly arrested.....

Send the message out that this pathetic idiotic behaviour will not be tolerated and use this individual as an example and if old enough...., jail him....

Thankfully those involved in leaving the stand did so in a timely and professional manner.... Doesn't bare thinking about that it could have been completely different if they thought of the Bradford tragedy and a mass stampede ensued with people panicking..,..

I saw it on sky sports and the stand was of the old wooden design and possibly tinder dry.....made me cringe thinking back to Valley Parade...

I get why young ones would do it, it's a bit of fun and they don't see how it can be harmful but you also get grown ups that should know better, Now that's sad

But it's monkey see monkey do.

Ref the earlier thread on vaping, our club rules are ignored regularly. Fans standing, some trying to have a crafty fag or vape, sneaking beer into the seated areas. Nothing is done about it so any kid seeing this lack of control knows that there is no comeback and the severity of the rule break escalates.

In this particular incident I expect the FA will come down hard on the club as an example and because they aren't in the Premiership.
