Wolves v Ipswich Town matchday thread.

Proper football resumes this weekend with the return of Mick McCarthy and the Tractor Boys.

There is every indication that this will be a close affair. I am looking forward to it!

Me too, Wokes, when I first became a regular of this Board Mick was the Wolves' manager, through wins, losses and draws he was never dull. I missed him when he was sacked, all the more so as a series of incompetent managers vainly tried to fill his boots.

Been really boring so far. Doesn't sound like anybody doing much of anything.

Which I'm a bit surprised by. This is close to a must win match for Ipswich to try and keep up in the playoff race and Wolves have nothing to lose at this point with relegation probably behind us.

In a few minutes time i'll be watching El Clasico, this afternoon myself and those in attendance witnessed what can only be described as a poor excuse for a game of football from both sides. But it was no more than i expected before kick off, as stated in recent meeting between the sides. It's a no thrill style of football.

It's difficult to find any positives from the game bar the clean sheet and in the second half, the return of James Henry. Kortney Hause may have enjoyed his time away with the England U21s, but in the first half he almost single handedly tried to put something on a plate for Ipswich, three times he hesitated, the third time he got out foxed after dwelling on the ball and even Ikeme tried his best to be clever in the penalty area trying to play about with the ball. Sigurdarson replaced the injured Wallace in the starting line up and did nothing in the game to convince me that he deserves to start on the right hand side of the front three.

    Going back to the styl

Think it might be time to try the 4-4-2 again.
