Corrected, never was any good at 11's.

    Here's a trick for multiplying by 11
    18 x 11 add the 1 and the 8 together put the result in the middle. 1+8 = 9 so 198
    13 X 11 = 143
    23 x 11 = 253
if the result is 10 or above you carry 1
    38 x 11 = 418
    55 x 11 = 605

and Yes I was useless at Maths at school. (or should that be Math?)

You do your best to keep the game going, make a mistake and everyone lines up to take the pi55.

No it most definitely shouldn't be feckin math!

When I was in school we had a real 'old school' maths teacher who made us learn our tables up to our 25 times table. When it suited her she'd make you stand up and fire off questions at you... 9x13, 7x22, 8x19....., and if you got any wrong you were in the sheite. To coin a modern phrase, it focused the mind somewhat!

A dear old lady Miss Hayes (she even taught my Dad) made sure my class and I knew our tables. If you made an error indeed you paid the price. Ouch. The times during my time in the Andrew and afterwards I used those tables is amazing. Miss Hayes R.I.P.

Miss Hayes? She was a pussweed compared to my duo of Miss Hogg and Miss Savage. Hogg and Savage. Sounds like a couple of body snatchers.
