COUNTY Durham based referee Nigel Miller will take charge of his second fixture at Bootham Crescent this season when he officiates Tuesday’s Sky Bet League Two clash against Portsmouth.

Miller was the man in black back in October as he oversaw the Minstermen’s 3-1 loss to Neal Ardley’s AFC Wimbledon. It was a game in which he issued a single yellow card to former midfielder Ben Godfrey.

Since then the referee has taken charge of a number of games in the Football League, his most recent being Reading’s 2-0 home defeat against Birmingham City on 9th April.

Miller’s last Portsmouth fixture meanwhile was towards the end of last season as Pompey secured a 2-2 draw away to Carlisle United on Good Friday.

Miller will be assisted by Andrew Miller and James Bell, with Tony Peart acting as the fourth official.
