    Summer meltdown

If what I am hearing is correct we should prepare ourselves for the very worse . Myers going is the tip of the iceberg . The club is about to be plunged into its worst situation ever .

    Venkys silence is very concerning
Lambert I feel is willing to see the season out and if still no contact then he will walk
I have said on more than one occasion we are currently dying a slow death going into decline season on season
if venkys go we will freefall quickly but have the opportunity to start again
with these jokers in charge we are facing the same fate but prolonged
slow or quick death?I know which I prefer.

Well I called down today to check on the 'state of play' , but dear oh dear, that was deplorable.
I cringe when guys say 'worst game they've ever seen' as surely if they think hard enough there are many 'contenders'. But today I reckon was the worst I've seen this season.
I have posted on this thread, because to all intents and purposes Venkys may also have for pretty much the same reason. So I am left pondering, was that 'performance' influenced/hindered by that 'spectre' right upon them?
For me those players, or at least the vast majority, knew/had a inkling 'the game is up'.
I am left thinking they have no drive, or enthusiasm, or energy to put a display on that would make any difference whatsoever to the present manager/owner/paymaster.
It may of course just be that these players are simply not good enough, and that's a fair assessment because on that showing they're not, but at the very least professionals should up the 'endeavour' stakes to compensate surely.
    The term 'we w

And I'll still be on here talking about rovers.

The worst isnt 'doing a Pompey', the worst is ceasing to exist.

I don't think we can take it for granted that there is nothing to come from them, Needle.
One thing they are not, is "predictable".
I'm surprised they haven't jumped ship before, but their motives and intentions are impossible to read.

I agree that to actually confidently predict what their next move is is nigh on impossible.
I can see every reason to opinion that they must throw 25 m at it, whilst retaining PL. Equally I can just as easily see them say '8 m and that's your lot'. I can also see them handing him his 'cards' and saying thanks, but 'on your way'.
To be fair both the pro GB and the anti GB brigades by and large applauded the 'capture' of PL. we like Venkys thought that he could be the man to gamble on. Well, we are now all thinking that maybe we were mistaken.
Having said that let's also consider that when it was GB in charge, we did at least have a CEO in place, plus a 'second in command' . PL has had to battle along without a CEO and now recently a given up second in command that maybe (in his head at any rate ) on his 'gardening leave'.
    Not a great 'situation'.
As regards Myers I think there could be some truth in the rumour / thinking that this is to do with the attempted 'levering in' of their
