Surely SD will give Udoh some game time next Saturday? Apparently he is "more streetwise" than Academy lads so he shouldn't be hurt by the learning experience

There is just no point in fielding Inman, Haber and Fox as they will leave in 2 weeks

Same with Baka if he stalls over the contract

I suspect LDV might not get a contract offer so there is no sense in him being a sub either

Lets see Turton holding, Ng at right back, Bingham and Jones given licence to go forward and an attack featuring 3 from Kirk, Cooper, Saunders, Ainley and Udoh

Inman will definitely go, we may not want to keep Fox. Haber is a funny one. We could do much worse than keep him and I would hope discussions have already taken place. If only so we know! Would definitely like to see Turton back in midfield. It is his best position.

This should have been done at least two games ago. I think Sd knows who he wants to release and he should not be playing them now as there is nothing to play for. It is time to throw the youngsters in and see how they get on . We will not win a game but it will be interesting to see what style SD wants to play next year . I am one who will be making a financial decision on this . So if the club want me to renew my season ticket then its down to the club to show me what direction they are taking us.

Would keep LDV and Haber. Not sure about Fox. We will need experienced heads to assist youngsters so we should not clear them all out. If Haber goes then why not see if we can sign Lowe? He boosted the side during his brief spell on loan. I would not want to retain Inman. Give Turton a run in midfield.

SD should use the two remaining games to give as many opportunities as possible to the younger players. No point giving game time to players he does not intend to retain. He must know who he does not want.

Fair point. Will need someone to out muscle the League Two CHs, but also have some skill. Would prefer we signed someone with experience who could help Udoh and Saunders develop. We do not need another young loan player learning on the job and benefitting his club.

What is this thing about wanting to keep Haber who is totally useless and its laughable to call him a 'Striker'.

He must be the worst ever Centre Forward we have had here. I would suggest we get rid of most of the squad and start again and Lowe maybe 39 years of age now but made more of an impact in the few games he had when he came back than most of the players on the pitch did, including our famed production line and crop of players coming through. God, I hate those terms, like its just a matter of coaching for ten years and all will be great once more. Lets sign a team of Ryan Lowe's that will give us entertainment and energy and a will to win games and sod the academy and so called players like Haber! The academy will have cost us a cool 3 million with not one decent foot

Remind me Mike, is it 2 games you can remember going to this season or 3? or was it the 3rd one that you couldn't remember who we were playing? If you had attended as many games at Gresty Road this season as I have you would know damn well that Haber is not the worst CF we have ever had. His 8 or 9 goals support that and add to that the assists I would respectfully suggest he is far from the worst. In fact about as far from the worst as he is from being the best. Still, let nowt get in the way of another whinge about the Academy. Quite how well you think we will do with a team of 39 year olds (if we could find another 10 39 year olds still playing) is anyone's guess. Don't pass judgements on players based on other people jaundiced opinions.

Haber being the worst centre forward ever at the club is exaggerated. Although he does need a fresh start somewhere else.

Not every side needs a target man to play up front though, Lowe signing as a deep-lying forward would be brilliant for us. He could find space and do a lot of donkey work in order to ensure other advanced role strikers such as Saunders can prosper. It's always nice to have a target man option but it hasn't worked well for us for years. I would much prefer a leader like Lowe up top than a disinterested Haber who lacks consistency and determination in his performances.

I can't agree that Haber has lacked interest, consistency or determination. He lacks pace, particularly from a standing start. As you say, TNO, nice to have the option of a big man.
