Why would he want to leave Ipswich when they are realistic playoff contenders?
Think Mick ticks all the boxes, loads of Championship experience, similar to warnock, and best of all he's a Yorkshire pudding. Push the boat out Mr Stewart and go for McCarthy
Why would he want to leave Ipswich when they are realistic playoff contenders?
I think he'd be a good man at the helm - but mellow makes a good point. More of a trad manager in the Warnock mould I would say, and therefore would love to see him managing us
Not a chance
Exactly. Whilst many of us (me included) would be delighted if Mick returned to his South Yorkshire roots and managed us, he isn't going to swop the set up (& crowd) at Ipswich for a club that struggles to get 9k supporters out and lacks basic infrastructure like a training ground & medical back up that's to Championship standard.
Plus, do you think we'll be paying/be able to pay anything like his Ipswich contract?
Dont be too harsh on the lad, until i knew how big we wasnt, i the 70s it took until, i was same as him...rotherham united dictated my life and spending money..oh dear...to an extent, they still do....
Not an impossible signing but improbable when you marry ambition with who we actually are as a club.
I find it odd that our resident experts think McClaren is a possibility but McCarthy isn't
Only TS knows who is a possibility
