Fair play to them. It is however galling in the extreme that the No.1 ****ebags of Scottish Football are now added to the ever growing list of clubs to have won it since we last did. And the worst thing is that they'll probably win it again before we do

see the rangers are moaning about there players and staff being assaulted and their fans showed remarkable constraint. i must be blind cos i seen a good few 100 of their own fans on the pitch at the end. time for the sfa to clamp down

Both clubs will be getting heavy fines for that surely.

I would fine the people responsible for crowd control, the SFA themselves. The Scottish FA are a laughing stock, not only in Scotland, but down here too.

They deserve it but I suspect that's not in their rules - send for Jim Farry to check!

Quite right too. As the responsible authority the SFA would have overall control of the arrangements. Can they investigate themselves?

Why should they it was the SFAs home game they were responsible for stewarding and safety. They dish it out when its clubs responsibility the fault lies with them.

    re: Hibs...

Given the charges against Motherwell last year, perhaps a reversal of the decision to punish the club is now in order: the preparations for crowd control, as well as the ability to resume control of the situation quickly last year were far ahead of what I see at this years final. How long did it take for the mounted police to get on the pitch? Last year they seemed to be on very quickly, the stewards and police last year also were in place in much larger numbers than what I just viewed today. Fact is, the potential for pitch invasions has been and always will be a part of Scottish football. I don't recall if there were any physical assaults or property damage after last years game. If any players were involved in todays events then the authorities should not be turning a blind eye to this. Unlikely they will do much at all approaching the consequences of the punishment to Motherwell since I felt that at least in some part it was doled out in reaction to keeping Rangers out of the Prem
