Thread: I am glad...

    I am glad...

That we are not involved in this playoff tonight. Even though it turned out well last time around I would not want to go through it again.

I have no interest in eithier Killie or Falkirk, but will probably listen to bbc Scotland and enjoy the game in a reflective mood.

I for one didn't think we would finish 5th, especially around January time. I have had my gripes with McGhee but well done to him and the team this season.

Anybody got any preferences on who we play next season from the playoff final?

I agree with that. I've never agreed with playoffs, and last season it was horrible, just horrible, although the 6-1 hammering of Rangers was very satisfying.

I've no strong preference about the outcome this year, although if Killie stay up they'll spend a bit of cash (that they haven't got) and may be more of a threat to us....but thats just selfish speculation on my part. If Killie go down though they'll be in a perilious financial state and I don't really want that either.

I think Kilmarnocks finances will see them less of a threat than Falkirk. Falkirk have a half decent side that can only strengthen coming up. Killie are skint if they stay up they have no money to spend. I tend to think Falkirk are a bigger threat and right now a bigger draw in terms of cash at their home games than Killie. From a selfish point of view Id want Killie to stay up as they will still be sh1te next season.

Sorry to say it but the length of time it's taking for the club and some players to sort out new contracts I fear any transfer targets we may have in mind will have either signed new contracts with their clubs or worse signed for other clubs, leaving us in a situation where it's only the dross that's left for us.Time the club got tough and sorted the out of contract players immediately so as we know what players we will have and budget to spend on new players!

And what should the club do to speed up the process? Give the players a take it or leave it ultimatum?

Why not,if players are given better deals elsewhere what kind of option will they be giving the club, absolutely none!

Some of them should have a 'leave it' or 'leave it' ultimatum.
