Well Society still in talks with Hutchison

It was not the cheeriest of meetings at Fir Park tonight. It was clear that the talks with Les still have some way to go before a deal is (or is not) agreed. - view external link

Good to see sound financial planning instead of finger in the wind of last 10 years. Although Im somewhat surprised revenue streams increase 17/18 . When Rangers went down we were told it would cost us £180,000 a year so how come them coming back up doesnt improve revenue streams for 16/17. Did the say what was happening 17/18 to improve revenue streams from SPFL was it an improved TV deal.

I don't recall the reason behind the extra revenue but I assume it to come from the fruits of the Sky/BT extensions negotiated last year. Jim M was very definite in his assertion than more cash would come from the SPFL (assuming were still in the top flight!)

Slight difference of direction. One of the things which was mentioned at the AGM, and which cropped up in the recent survey I filled in, was the possibility of screening away games at Fir Park. We now face several trips to the far north. The fact is that I'm unlikely make it, for example, to Dingwall or Inverness again - it's expensive and time-consuming from my home in the south. And it's a huge chunk of my 'football' budget. I'd have no hesitation, though, in driving up to Fir Park to watch the game on-screen, and putting a few bob into the club coffers. There's no point in doing it for away games which we're nearly all going to attend anyway, but I'd like to see them giving it a try, perhaps if we're playing in Dingwall on a Wednesday night?
