I take your point but Shaun Hutchison will never need to worry about money again even if he never gets another club. You cant blame them for taking the money. Their careers can be over in one tackle and if they stay put their chance might not come again.

Aye and even ignoring the money (though clearly none of them do) arguably Hutchison - though he failed at Fulham - will still be a much better player for the experience of training/playing at that level than he would have been hanging around the SPL, with us or someone else.

Not knowing exactly his game time/appearances with Fulham but think made few appearances and loaned out(?). Had he remained and played alongside McManus his experience/play improved vastly and perhaps got move where became 1st team player. Whilst accept his income improved it was short-term. I hope Hall and others not influenced by their agent hype and wait until at least played 2-3 seasons. Like many they move too soon and become forgotten.

He'd already played a season along side McManus...I doubt another year or two of that would have given him much, especially how we defended under McCall!
