He's setting up camp in Calais as we speak![]()
Hi, I thought I'll pop in for a bit to speak of an interesting dinner I had last month while visiting Nottingham.
My friend invited me to join in a dinner with his pal, a senior figure with Notts.
It was a really interesting time as I got to learn more or first hand on the running of a club.
As I am busy with stuff now, I hope to share some of what I learnt at a later date.
But I just hope the Notts fans realise that actually their board is really behind them and the club.
Finally before I go. I had a good laugh donating to Refugee Action for the bet I lost with Manx.
I had made the donation in the name of a certain chap here and volunteered his services to help the refugees.

Who said he was on about derby?
You're probably right. I should have explained more.
But honestly it's really a lot and I doubt Forest fans want to read it and I doubt I have the time to elaborate.
So I'll just come to 1 point he raised.
In a smaller city like Nottingham it's really hard for teams like Notts and Mansfield to be competing for fans. As it is Forest only attract around 20k. What is preferable is if we can get residents/fans to adopt another club here as their 2nd team. There's no point being bitter rivals given the gap involved.
What we hope is that Forest fans will come and watch and support the Magpies if their team is playing away.
So on that note I concurred. I've been promised free tickets for their games when I'm due back. Should be interesting. I haven't been to Meadow Lane in 20 years or more.
And with that I once again bid you adieu. Until August or September when I'm back in town.
