Rotherham United always seem to shoot themselves in the foot, with divulging players we are after, instead of getting a bid in, run its time & come out with a player.
Then there is the players agent, who will advertise that a team are after the players he represents, so other clubs come in, shove the price up for the player, makes a better cut for the agent.

Looking at the transfer of Paul Pogna to Manchester United, looking at a £100 million fee, the agent to pick up £25 million fee from it.

In this day and age and in the era of the agent and social media I doubt if even 1% of transfers are done without a player being 'shopped' to multiple clubs so I think the concept of a 'leak' is almost non-existent.

In fairness to RUFC they have not divulged players names directly it's the agents and the media that get the info and publish it, it's so difficult these days to keep things under wraps but Stubbs has neither "confirmed or denied" on any player which is pretty much the usual default answer by most managers when asked the question. For once we are being very specific on the quality of player we are going for which is refreshing after the signing loads of players that will not play but just increase a wage bill! Yes it's frustrating but hopefully things will move quickly soon and I for one will not judge yet until the beginning of the season. UTM
