    Thoughts on yesterday's game

Looks like we have someone - at last- who can deliver a dead ball. Jaimie Hamill was taking some very good corners similar to the kind Chris Mitchell did. If he can keep this up then good headers of the ball like Dowie and Lyle will be delighted. Noticed Hamill does a lot of talking to his team mates and that is good also. -----------Yesterdays opposition was modest to say the least but I still thought our young lads looked fit and strong . Smith, Brotherston and Moxon were full of running with a much needed aggressive edge as well . Was speaking to Aidan dad and he told me the boy was bursting a gut with extra training as well as his Queens workouts. It looked to me like it's paying off . Promising signs !

Good to see a positive and upbeat report of the teams pre-season unlike some others dripping in pessimism.

A decent workout for Queens against a poor Gretna side it has to be said .
They lost 8-0 today to Ayr United in the 3rd/4th place playoff match

A good training exercise against a very poor Gretna 2008 team - I actually enjoyed a great pre - match. craic with Paddy Atkinson rather than the game itself. Don't know if Mr Skelton will be in attendance for today's game but our line up has a second eleven look about it as the management give all the squad a run out.
