Didn't Davis try to sign John Lundstram from Everton at the start of last season? I recall that the Board rejected the high salary offered by SD and the player joined Oxford United. I might be wrong of course, but is it the same player?
In terms of the friendly results, I can understand the first couple of games being more about fitness than results, but it is a bit disappointing to display the usual defensive frailties against less than top draw non-league teams.
