    Patience running out

I admire our chairman greatly and thank him for what he has done for us, but the current situation is becoming serious.

We are being seriously left behind in recruitment, all our so called targets are falling away, i suggest this is because they see us as not showing enough ambition and desire to secure their services. Example 'Tom Bradshaw' going to Barnsley as we wont pay an acceptable fee, would make me wonder if the club really wanted me if i was him.

Patience, patience, patience we keep getting told, but we are not showing any ambition in the recruitment of players despite talk of record fee's being offered. How many times in the past have we been told the club is to smash its transfer record, only to find it never happens.

ACTIONS speak louder than words, i for one am sick of the constant platitudes and empty promises coming from the club, we need to recruit quality sooner rather than later and SPEND SOME MONEY.

Only 3 weeks from season start and we have had to cancel a friendly due to injuries, what a ridiculous situation to be in for a so called championship club with supposedly high ambitions.

    Angry

    Agree 100%
    It's becoming embarrassing.
Plan C next apparently which is worrying in itself. Then what when that fails.
Thank god for the Technical Committee

We are standing by "we won't pay silly money" and I'm behind that, just a little worried will won't have a bench come first game

This is ridiculous. It's not the fact that we aren't singing these players that worries me it is the embarrassing communications that come from the club. Tony Stewart looks and comes across like he is out of his depth. 3 weeks from kick off and one signing. Action not words.

I don't disagree with that Millertop but what does "silly money" actually mean?
The most we have ever paid for a player is £400K and in 2016 that is laughable.
Either we have ambition to finish in the top half of the Championship or we don't. The chairman says that's the target but doesn't walk the walk.
I'm trying to stay optimistic but it's bloody difficult at the moment.

Select decent signings not the bellends we signed last season, where did most of them end up.OK we did not get Bradshaw after another club paid well over the top,but 3 weeks is a long time in football and lots of players about wanting a club, just get the right ones, leave it to Stubbs and stop panicking.

Just how much did Barnsley pay? I've not seen a figure so how do you know they paid well over the top.
These "lots of players wanting a club" are the types we signed last season, nobody else wants them.
My guess is that we will sign a couple of the trialists (free) and the record signing we keep hearing about is a Myth.
Freebies and loans just like last season.
I worry where the goals will come from :- sick note Danny Ward. Can't be arsed JCH or untried Yates.
I bet Stubbs is thinking WTF have I done coming here.

The number that did the rounds on Twitter earlier was £550k. Even if it's actually a couple hundred grand more we should be truly embarrassed.
