Surprisingly no further goals in the second half though Rigg and Smith both hit the post.Have to say that Airdrie were no where near as good as expected, though Queens were totally professional throughout.Hamill,Anderson and Higgins outstanding.Tougher times ahead, but continue to play with this attacking formation it will hopefully be a good season to look forward to.'Mon the South!Come on truth hurts....moan about that...you CAN'T!!(said with cockney accent!)

Yes, lovely stuff first half, shaded in the second. I like the look of the big lanky lad Dykes and he gives the team good balance down the left. Obviously, the opposition will be tougher soon but so far, so good. This is going to be so much better than last season .

Scrappy 2nd half after an entertaining 1st one . Liked to look of Jamie Hamill and Grant Anderson .
Young Jake Pickard isn't scared to put himself about and will need to watch what he's doing . That's 2 bookings already although not sure why he got booked during the Russell incident

Enjoyed the way Queens pinged the ball about, - with Grant Anderson and Jamie Hammil supplying quality crosses.

Dykes will cause problems to lots of defences with his pace and long stride, - so really looking forward to this season!
