    Yesterday's attendance

Official attendance of 1016 was disappointing but not surprising as bang in the middle of holiday period and the very poor away support from Stenny ...

Falkirk a team with double our fan base only got 1,073, Ross County 722, Hamilton 764 but the eye - opener was a pathetic 134 at East Stirling v Annan

Hopefully the crowds will pick up when the league campaign starts . Our first two home games will see big and noisy away supports from Ayr United and Falkirk . We desperately need to somehow attract more home fans through the gates again

There were fif**** ties played yesterday, seven of which were home ties for Premier League teams and many of which were to determine progress into the last six**** of the Betfred Cup. These fif**** ties attracted a total attendance of 20,344 or an average attendance of 1356. The highest attendance was 2,858: the lowest attendance was 134: and we are asked to take Scottish football seriously. What a joke!!!!!

Before we close the lid on the coffin of Scottish football here let's just consider that these games are being played during the middle of the family holiday season. To my mind this is the real reason for the poor attendances across Scotland although apathy in general does not help the situation however has the trend for attendances not be on the up the last few years?

League cup games aren't really the best attended but Queens were actually one of the bette ones compared to others

League crowds will be bigger and better especially with decent away supports from Hibs , Dundee Utd , Falkirk , Ayr United etc

Wasn't that bad an attendance when you look at others and the fact Stenny only brought about 20 supporters . What's more concerning to me and others is the lack of atmosphere and some of the cringeworthy shouts from so called fans

Palmylad suggests that Saturday's attendance wasn't that bad. Let me remind him that we are a team in the pretentiously named Championship: we were playing at home on a Saturday afternoon in July: we were playing a League Cup tie on which our progress to the last six**** of the competition depended: and the attendance? One thousand and six**** - yes, 1016. I agree that that is not bad - it's bloody dreadful. We played eigh**** league games at Palmerston last season. At only five of these games did we have an attendance in excess of 2000 - two games against Rangers; two games against Hibs; and one game against St Mirren. The attendances at the two games against Rangers combined with the attendance at one of the games against Hibs dragged our average attendance to just above the 2100 mark. Strip out the two games against Rangers (who will not be in the league this season) and our average attendance for season 2015/16 drops to under 1700. What exactly do these statistics tell you about the state of professional football in Scotland?

Over priced and boring, when will some one realise they are supposed to entertain. How can you do that if you only ever play with one main forward and don't say wing backs etc are forwards , they are not that. It needs some one brave enough to play first and foremost "attacking entertaining football" stop playing not to get bea
