    Is football really that complicated?

As the season approaches and now only seven days away 'the sky is falling, the sky is falling!'. At least that's what some believe because for various reasons we haven't enlarged our squad, plugged up some potential holes and given the players time to gel (isn't that just what they do with their hair these days?). Now assuming at a price of 3K-10K per week players today at least know the fundamentals of how to kick the ball, head the ball, play a position, play in a formation and are fit then how long do we really need them for this gelling to occur? International squads only get a couple of days before games and a couple of weeks before big tournaments so why are we suddenly in deep excrement?. Admittedly, time together should improve a teams cohesion but ours had been together for 30+ games last year before showing any semblance of 'togetherness'. We also have examples in the past of players arriving on a Friday and being MOM on Saturday.

I'm not saying our current predicament is ideal but is it really so bad? I guess only time will tell!

CAM Camp it was when Danny Collins was centre back that made him look bad. Lee Camp Player of last season rightly so from Broadfoot & Frecks. Best chickened out of challenges in the air, tackles. Glad he went never a Rotherham roll your sleeves up type player. Something you said can you remember that song I'm walking backwards to Christmas. Think Spike Milligan.

Season 80-81 we lost in the league cup before the season started. Before opening league we brought in Towner, Moore, Seasman ect... Can be done. 3 players in this week one being Grant Ward will make us alot stronger. Then abit of fine tuning before those 2 tough away games, couple of more signings will give us a better shout.

To finish Tony Stewart is your man. He'll sort it. Be better than last season. Steady progress. Cup run would be nice. Never had one in my 51 years watching the Millers.

I'm impressed, H. My lifetime Millers experience has taught me precisely the opposite and destroyed my faith in football chairmen.

So in summary then and lacking any responses to the question, football is simple, it's just gwru's reply that is complicated

Ok Cam football in my opinion has always been a simple game it's just some players make it difficult and fans seem to see all sorts of difficulties in fact some of them make it almost impossible

As for gwru's replies whenever I read them I always wonder if he talks the same way as he writes
