If we thought that Saturday's attendances were poor, what are we to think of last night's attendances. Teams playing last night included some under twenties teams of Premiership clubs, some non-league clubs and some lower league clubs. Twelve games were played. In total, 3656 attended these games with crowds (I use that word euphemistically) ranging from 149 to 476 with an average of 305. When will the authorities learn that our game does not need gimmicks. I have written before and I reiterate it again: if we put pig muck in an expensive box and tie it up with fancy ribbons it is still pig muck: and that is what the Scottish game currently is - pig muck. Concentrate on improving the quality of the product on offer and some of the fans might, just might, return. For other fans, any ameliorating action is far too late and they are likely to be lost to the game.

Exactly - we are forever constantly papering up the cracks. I personally would like to see more promotion of the Junior Leagues - the entry of Junior Teams into the Scottish Cup is a step in the right direction - the problem with the junior leagues is that there are too many veterans earning beer money and keeping out young players ....
