2-1 Newcastle, Bod with the goal.
How quickly things change. Going into the international break, we looked like we were starting to "get it" under Zenga and everybody seemed to be feeling optimistic, even after the defeat to Huddersfield. . This is reflected in the fact that only two posters correctly predicted a result for the last two matches (Makka and Ding both had us losing to Barnsley). In just two matches our solid footing in the table with a decent goal difference went backwards and we are now lower half of the table with a negative goal difference. This is really unfortunate because the Burton and Barnsley matches were ones that I think we needed to get some more points from those matches to have us in good position later on in the season. Back to back home matches against newly promoted clubs, that should be four points in a worst case scenario IMO (and no offense intended to Burton and Barnsley). But here we are, three points adrift of the playoff spots and four away from the drop zone. Still early, but how quickly optimism and hope are squandered.
Newcastle are the clear favorites to win the league. After dropping their first two league matches, they've now won five in a row, with a +14 goal difference in those matches. Lucky for us, we get them in back to back matches in this great run of form, thankfully one is a cup match. Dwight Gayle leads the team with four goals, and Ayoze Perez and Jonjo Shelvey also have three each. They are second in the league in goals scored and top in least goals conceded. Won't be easy for us. And in our current form, don't think we have a chance.

I predict that at 8.30pm on Saturday evening I will be sitting down to a 'Ruby' and a few beers at Akbars on Westmorland St Newcastle!
As far as the game goes
Newcastle Utd 3-1 Wolves (Gladon)
I suspect WZ will press on with his flawed rotation system and we will effectively have learned nothing. What is the point in paying £7m for a player and then not playing him? I suspect that he will play this time but I can see another defensive shambles.
Newcastle 4 Wolves 1

Great pre-match write up MW.
Optimism is in short supply. It dwindled after BA result. I suspected Barnsley would take advantage.
I suggest the players watch a Bully masterclass at St James' from yesteryear for inspiration. Although, if you can't get up for a game of footie in front of 52,000 then you should stop playing.
