Mel is hitting the button by the looks of it

Reports that deals for vydra for 8m and kodija 10m rising to 14m are being done.
Kodija out of Bristol squad and local paper reporting done.vydra tweeted his goodbye to Watford fans.

If these happen...Martin will be off (Fulham or wolves) plus someone else probably.

All going on ....I saying that its about time changes were made.

    Wasting money.
    Turning into qpr.
Unable to appreciate or tweak what we've got.

Don't know what to make of it Paulo. Agree we need changes but he chucked money at it this time last year and it didn't work. A case of lesson not learned? Time will tell.
Kodjia and Vydra might 'solve' the problem at one end but we still lack, more than anything imo, a 'midfield general'. Until we get a leader and allow the likes of Bryson and Hughes to supply whoever is up front then I can't see it working. Don't doubt Mel's motive, beginning to wonder about his logic.

Let's wait and see if these deals transpire.i think there may be a few outs too, plus a couple more ins...it will be an interesting and exciting few days following on from what has been a dire drab opening to the season.

    My view...changes needed.

I'll not be sorry to see many of this team go but Martin has been a favourite of mine for a long time, still a class player. However somethings needs to be done as this turd will not be polished.

perhaps not being able to tweak means time for a change.

Have to agree with anagRam on this one until we get a midfield general we will still struggle Also agree with Triz I'm a big Martin fan but its time for change teams have us worked out stop Martin and were knackered Have reservations about Vydra although Pearson knows him we'll enough As for Kodja don't think we will get him theve said they won't let him go to a Champs club although they want Russell

Bristol want Russell, Fulham want Martin, Hull want Hendrick, we can offset our recent spend with any or all of these AND it's the beginning of splitting this team up, too many hangovers from seasons past, we need freshening up, it's interesting to note we haven't had the usual 'new manager symdrome' you normally get and we've started as we finished

Not sure how this overcomes the stupidity of repeatedly playing Hughes deep. Play him deep, we play deep and why the hell would you want to play deep against Burton? Buying players doesn't overcome poor management decisions.

We've got to stop hitting long balls.
Play through the middle with hughes further forward.
Doesn't matter what formation or what team if we keep launching it hopelessly.
Last season Mel said he signed players to give the manager no excuses.
    Same again i suspect.
