    Danny C

I've heard there is a deal done for him to come back to Queens but he is still six weeks or so away from being in contention for a start. The concerning thing is that we need a left sided player NOW as all our good work is in danger of blowing up in our faces as key players like Hilson get injured. On Saturday, with Marshall and Hilson out, we had a centre half at left back and a big rumble on the left wing. We will NOT get away with this for long and will be dragged back down the table. What about Jordan McMillan ? He is a good player, served his time ( punishment ) and has been training with us I believe.

Jordan McMillan is principally a Right Back. Not sure that would help our left side issues.

See Standard today - Mr Skelton has put to bed the rumours of Danny returning any time soon and revealed he is looking to
strengthen the team - '' I want players to come in and play not just to make up numbers '' - '' we are lacking a bit of experience
on the bench in recent games.''

Is Bob Harris still a free agent? What about Harris for left back with the option of Marshall playing further up on the left of midfield? Not that either would be a guaranteed pick for either. Every player has to earn selection as the best option based on who is available to choose from at a given time.

Harris is also useful at free kicks. He also seems to have a solid record of resilience against injury. All the talent in the world is no use if a player is on the treatment table. I've never been a football manager. If I was the 1st thing I'd look at for any player is their injury record. Nor would I sign anyone until they can prove to the medical people they are 100% injury free

Harris was on loan at Fleetwood from February until June and played one game. I suspect that means he was injured.
    Is he fit now?

No Hammer he said '' not any time soon '' as I quoted which ties in with your story that a deal is done but he is six weeks away from contention. As they say watch this space but in view of our injuries I defo think we need a couple of experienced players. Jordan McMillan is a big pal of the Tan Man and was even at his table at the last Hall of Fame but do we need a right back ? It is, of course
difficult to recruit players outwith the '' window. '' but hopefully Mr Skelton can strengthen the pool.
