    Blackburn v Wolves Matchday Thread

With Walter Zenga leaving the club earlier in the week, it will be interesting to see what side Rob Edwards picks for the 5.30pm kick-off. The players need to start doing their bit on the pitch and a reaction is needed.

A more British starting XI than we've seen previously

Ikeme; Doherty, Batth, Hause, CBJ; Coady, Saiss, Ewards; Costa, Bod, Wallace

Bench: Lonergen, Silvio, Stearman, Saville, Cavaleiro, Teixeria, Dicko

Why can't Wolves get these young strikers on loan? Gallagher a top prospect for Southampton, Adam Armstrong on loan to Barnsley.....

Where's Branford right now? He's been all over the Champinship but Wolverhampton

So close for Edwards after a great cross fom the Bod. Got a bad feeling about this. Plenty of chances but can we put it in the net?

Seems like its' been a problem most of the season. Have had enough chances most games, just not finishing. On the other end, letting them finish too much.

Got them under pressure now that's for sure. Have to get a goal before half time.

Great save by Ikelme, that would have been the game if it had gone in.

I have to say for 75 minutes from a Wolves perspective the performance was shocking. I can take nothing away from Gallagher who opened the scoring, but our defending yet again was a joke. I wouldn't have had any complaints if Wolves had gone on to lose that game with both Ikeme and Lonergan making important saves.

One of things noticeable again was the lack of pressing the opposition up until the last fif**** minutes. I said at the game that on each Blackburn attack they looked like scoring, i'm glad they didn't. There was some embarrassing attempts at goal from a Wolves points of view, especially one of the two Conor Coady effort's. Also, i'm glad Wallace went off after his slip, poor contribution from him.

Dave Edwards divides supporters opinions, but comes up with one goal, had another effort in the first, and two others in the second.
Rob Edwards did right in his two outfield subs, it's clear to see that Costa, Tex and Cavaleiro are all on the same wavelength, the latter needs games to show what he can do,

A talking point at the game was should Danny Batth have got a second yellow card? well in my opinion he was lucky, but saying that i thought he was fouled in the incident in the first half that he got booked for.

A point is better than none, but a lot of work needs to be done to get the starting eleven playing as one.
