Nothing more certain than a relegation to league 1. AS has brought in some players of non league standard so what should we expect. I did predict this scenario before a ball had been kicked if you read my previous threads.
Tough to accept but its true.
Yesterday we played a quality team but they just didn't have quality they had commitment and desire something were lacking.
The squad we have is simply not good enough.
I was talking to some Preston fans in the bridge in after the game yesterday and they said we reminded them of themselves when they went down no quality and a aura of acceptance around the stadium that its going to happen.
So let's get our loan players back and let KJ have a look at them see if he thinks some of them can get some experience this year ready for next year.
Yes there is a long way to go but for me its gonna happen anyway so let's start to look at the squad with a long term view which is something we haven't done since we got promoted.
UTM.

Shudders at the thought.
Take a look at Sheff Utd, they thought "go down, come back up", build the squad etc etc
Still there stuck in league 1.
May as well put Ward up for transfer. Try and get a decent fee now rather than him go for peanuts in January or for nowt at the end of the season.
Lets face it, his goals aren't going to be enough to keep us up, so might as well.
Someone might pay a Million or so if he was available now.
Why, is there a transfer window in November ?
Where would we be in division 1 with this squad? I doubt if we would be in the top 6. Post 1968, apart from February 82, the early stages of the 2002-3, back end of last season, we have always been punching above our weight, at this level.
We could do with drawing one of the better league 1 teams, like Peterborough or Port Vale just to get a gauge of the current squad against what we could be up against next season.
I had a horrible feeling yesterday that "The last post" wasnt only played for all our servicemen and women(heroes) it was also played for our beloved Millers.anybody else get that feeling??? U.T.F.M.
To be honest I did something yesterday that I have never done in the 56 years as a Millers supporter, I walked out of the stadium with 20 minutes to go, totally at a loss of how poor the Millers team are.
Defence a shambles, Ward doing his best, Blackstock never winning a header, out played in midfield, Pringle & co must have thought their christmas must have come early, with a easy demolition of a poor Millers side.
Tony Stewart says he has brought Kenny Jackett in with the express intention of keeping the club in the Championship so there will be no throwing in the towel at this stage.
Unfortunately the players that Stubbs brought in are almost universally sub standard which means that KJ's task looks nigh on impossible and he won't have a prayer if we fall further behind before the January transfer window.
If, miraculously, we are still within range of the other relegation candidates at Christmas it will be interesting to see whether the Chairman backs his manager to allow him to strengthen the squad in January.
I hope he does because Tony Stewart and his Technical Committee are certainly culpable for the mess the club is in at the moment.
