The world is locked into compo claims and buying barristers a second yacht
Aston Villa are set to launch a multi-million compensation claim against the HS2 rail project, the club believe they have a strong case under a government scheme, because the HS2 will have a impact on their training base.
The latest plans for the high speed link between Birmingham & London, show it cutting through a chunk of Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground.
Villa have commissioned reports into the likely noise & environmental effects, & after its been discovered the rail line will cut straight through 2 training pitches. The House of Lords select committee on HS2 heard from the club 2 weeks ago & are now in talks.
HS2 Ltd spokesperson said, " Approximately 10% of Aston Villa training ground is needed for phase 1 of the HS2 project. We are talking to the club & are optimistic about finding a positive solution, that works for the project & Aston Villa ".
Aston Villa could be in line for millions, after former owner Randy Lerner spent £9 million upgrading the training facilities.

Can't see a difference to be honest.
Luddites rule ok?
Almost 60 billion to get to London slightly faster?
Total waste of money, should be used to bring the fares down on the lines we already, £100 return to London now.
And of course in this area only Sheffield gets a station, we get all the noise and disruption, none of the benefit.
