    the right back problem

It's no coincidence the 2 clean sheets we have attained this season have come with Marshall at right back however following his yellow over the weekend he will be banned for the huddersfield game
so who should fill that role?
Jason lowe:has been pretty mediocre in that role and apparently showed a calm and no nonsense approach in midfield on Saturday so why change that?
Adam Henley:high hopes dashed by confidence sapping performances
is it worth the risk putting him in?
Ryan nyambe:he would be my pick very raw talent but at that age there is no fear and I think would be ideal until Marshall returns
he likes to bomb forward and would offer a good overlap with feeney on the right.

I think Henley has had only one game since his injury, anyway. I doubt he will be risked. I'd like to see Nyambe given a chance too, but I suspect we might see Lowe at full-back, with Akpan taking his place in midfield. (I'm assuming Guthrie is still not in contention).

If I was in coyles position I would want to keep the team that won against Newcastle with minimal changes
so for me Lowe needs to be kept in midfield not at right back
Coyle has made one or 2 positive statements about our youth so now it's time to include one at right back
    step forward Ryan nyambe.

Hello, Robin. Yes - Coyle's latest statement does make it appear that Nyambe is first choice.
On the other hand, it sounds as if Guthrie is going to be available, so he might be tempted to play safe by slipping Guthrie back into midfield, with Lowe at full-back.
Good to have these options, though.
It will be interesting to see if this is the end of the road for Henley. I still remember a few games where he looked potentially top-notch, but - if anything - he seems to have gone backwards in the last 18 months.

Unfortunately he played a few games at left back and got slaughtered in which coincided with a dip in form at right back
I believe the only way Adam Henley can get his early promise back is by going out on loan
His confidence is rock bottom here.

My match mates vote goes heavily towards RN at the back with preferably Guthrie mid (he's not a great lover of JL in any position).
He sees far more games than me so I'll bow to his superior knowledge. Albeit I think he is pretty unfair on JL as he's a 'spoiler' type player, not a playmaker. If we were in a 'far better place' I would agree that we could / should be looking to improve in mid, but we are where we are and looking to retain Champs status (that's all).

Dan (and other attenders) - how did Nyambe look?
And what about the central midfield?
I take it Marshall was missed.

Attended and saw it and just as others have said - how on earth did we manage a point from that ! I saw one comment though that suggested we set out for a hit them on the break game plan. Not a bit of it, we were shell shocked for virtually all the first half.
It would not have been so unfair on us to have registered a 1 - 3,4 loss there.
I thought Niyambe (considering) did pretty much ok. He had precious little cover from Feeney and this against a very deft quick footed winger. Would the inclusion of Marshall alone have altered the balance,? Not so sure about that, we were very light in midfield (as is usual). Lowe for me had one of his poorer games as did Evans. Gallagher was more subdued also, but the front men were on crumbs really. Conway, a so so sort of game. Quite a bit of panic at back, mainly first half, surprising given our experience there.
For me, the shining light was Darragh, we may just have developed another solid pro there ywho unfortunately is going to be looked upon as a financial makeweight some short time down the line.
For me there's still quite a bit of work to do to salvage our season as games like this, where we incredibly come away with a point, or three will not happen very often.

Thanks, Despair. "It's a funny old game" when you consider the performance and result at Newcastle!

Do you think the decision to make Lowe captain will ultimately come back to bite Coyle?
when you make someone your captain you are expected to play them unfortunately his form is very patchy
mulgrew prefers the holding midfield role and we all can see that Marshall is very good at right back so it begs the question where will Lowe fit in?
