    Tom Thorpe

Know he's not been particularly any good for us but why are we allowing him to play in the FA Cup for Bolton today?
When the garbage loanee midfielders Adeyami and Forster-Caskey are hopefully sent back in January we might need Thorpe's presence for third round day.

Nobody is making them kind of decisions at the club.

I would get all our loan players back and give them a go.

    Really can't be any worse.

Tom Thorpe is on a season long loan at Bolton.
How do the loan deals work with the FA Cup ?
Would we actually be allowed to bring him back in January just to play in the FA Cup ?
Technically he's a Bolton player, they are paying his wages.

Adeyami & Foster-Caskey are on season long loans. As I said on a previous post can you actually cancel the contract of a loan player & send them back ?

Our FA Cup venture will be over long before we would be able to get Tom back here

Thorpe & Smallwood only good thing Stubbs did. Leave them where they are. Not good enough even for league 1. They are not even in the starting 11 for there clubs. Stubbs though his loan signings for us Allen, Foster-Caskey can go now. Fry while Jan for cover then bye. Other 2 ? But parent clubs can remove them if they are not happy mostly about game time for there players.

It's probably a fine idea to get back loan players but the bottom dollar is we shipped them out in the first place in an attempt to reduce the wage bill.

Our club is struggling financially and I've seen nothing recently that will convince me otherwise.

Your last line is a little worrying Grist. If it`s true & with a new Head of Recruitment arriving in January then he wouldn`t have much scope to help improve the current squad.

On the other hand hopefully you are way off the mark & the Head of Recruitment may be able point out a couple of quality player`s that`s needed asap. TS has some crucial decisions to make in January, let`s hope he gets them right.
