    Gary rowett

Somebody anybody with football knowledge please approach this guy to be our manager
Coyle has had his chance and looks and talks like someone we used to have as manager(who's name remains not mentioned)
clueless, delusional and unable to motivate a fat kid to eat cake
in rowett he is someone who can work on a limited budget and worked wonders while doing it
so venkys it's over to you
league 1 awaits and with it obvious finacial oblivion or appoint somebody who can save our season and hopefully build a stable footing the season after
we are doomed under the stand out candidate
Cheslton needs the boot for this
he knows less about football than my mum who in true venkys style only just found out you can be relegated
make a change and make it now.

I think that's a bit over the top, Robin. There are two teams below us and the 12th-placed club have only eight points more than us.
I just can't agree that relegation is a certainty. We are always capable of scoring and we have been very unlucky in trying to get a settled centre-back pairing. (Four out for this weekend). I wish Coyle was a bit less gung-ho in his approach, but I don't believe he's as clueless as you make out. The fact is, there is very little between most of the teams in this league, so luck is always going to play a part. I think we still lack a natural leader on the pitch, but I hope Mulgrew will step up into that role. In my view, though, we really need him playing in midfield. Once the injuries are cleared up, we will have Lenihan, Ward, Greer, Brown, Hoban and Wharton to choose from at centre-back, so we can use Mulgrew where his skill and coolness are more effective.
Like you, I have no real idea why Lowe and Evans are automatic choices, but we still produce occasional performances like the one against Newcastle.
I suspect we'll bounce around between about 16th and 22nd, but our ability to score regularly should just about keep us safe.
We all want more than that, I know, but we have to be realistic.

And I've just remembered, we are really missing Guthrie too.

Maybe I was a little over the top but the next 3 games will see what happens next
Coyle pulls a rabbit out of the hat or faces the chop
reading at home then 2 away games against Barnsley and huddersfield looks grim on paper
who knows we might string a unbeaten run again
mulgrew is rightly needed in midfield alongside Guthrie so what does that mean for Evans and Lowe?
I don't mean to be cruel but hopefully the bench.

I'm not sure what it will take for Lowe to get dropped. It's uncanny that we've been through this under various different managers!
At one point, it looked like we'd partially solved the problem by playing him at full-back, but he seems totally entrenched in midfield again now. Don't get me wrong; he does have some good qualities, but his vision and distributional skills aren't consistently good enough for the central midfield role.

It became apparent Marshall was a better bet at right back
of course we all knew this so then to make sure his captain was still in the team he was placed in midfield
Against Newcastle he apparently showed his defensive qualities and looked decent since that win the old Jason lowe flaws have surfaced and something has to give
we cannot plod along with Evans and Lowe offering nothing centrally when we have Guthrie and mulgrew who I am pretty sure can offer more when fit.

That would be far to sensible for Venkys to even consider..

I see that Lowe is suspended for the next two games, and that Mulgrew is likely to be fit.
I wonder what the line-up will be against Barnsley.
I would really like to see Mulgrew tried in midfield. In fact, I would be happy to see a five-man midfield as a tightening-up exercise, but I know Coyle won't go down that road.
Even so, this is surely an opportunity for Mulgrew to show what he can offer as the "holding" midfielder.
So, a line-up such as the one below is a possibility:
    Steele
    Marshall Lenihan Greer Williams
    Emnes Evans Mulgrew Conway
    Gallagher Graham.

My own preferred choice would be something like:
    Steele
    Nyambe Lenihan Greer Williams
    Marshall Byrne Mulgrew Evans Conway
    Graham.
I'm obviously a lot more cautious than Coyle!
