I feel that this fact should be hushed up if possible. Goodness knows what would happen if this information reached our Chairman and Directors.

Almost certainly not. Davis's track record over the previous couple of seasons should have convinced any Board that he was not the future. Now, after the usual inertia, he is still the manager as we head for potential derbies with Chester and Macclesfield next season. He should be removed immediately and fresh management brought in.
