so we have given up this season

That's the message tony Stewart has sent out of Paul Warne is to carry on untill end the season.

Apart from its the cheap option why?

    He has no experience.

He played for lower end clubs and is a fitness coach so I cant imagine he has any contacts.

What kind of players will we atract of his reputation?

Start of next season we are going to be in a big problem

New manager having to use pre season to assess the team sign new players, mould the team to his playing style when it should be starting now.

Tony Stewart wasn't wrong when he said he knows nothing about football.

If at all its possible the season has just got worse can we just admit relegation forfit the rest of the games and forget this season happened

We gave up after the Bristol city match at home WLB, it was clear we were in the proverbial up to our necks, its hard to take but one simple bad appointment like AS is all it takes.

Im hoping history will show this decision to be one of the best TS has made, and we have time now to plan our rise again

The "simple" mistake that has caused this problem was sacking AS and lack of continuity since .

And allowing the players to control the club.

Some players didn't "get it" and some of the fans didn't "get it".

And those fans still don't "get it"

The club will try to hang the blame on AS but the bottom line was he was following orders from the chairman.

With a budget like ours anyone would struggle and the core squad - that were already here were not up to scratch!

Not forgetting Freck's and captain Kirk were missing from day one !

Newcastle was the best match at the NYS this year - play that we'll against Reading and that would have turned the corner and confidence would have grown!

A little worried for Warne though - the fitness coach suits him but the rest of the season will turn the guy white and sleepless!

Managers tend to have an ego to feed and Warney is a nice guy - ok - he'll have an ego but not the cast iron ego of a "manager"....I fear for his health - he should decline and resume the role he loves !

The Chairman is showing contempt to the fans, by this appointment he's sounded the death bell for the clubs reign in the championship, given up the ghost.
Which could back fire on him next season when season ticket renewals fall below the level to sustain the club, then lower crowds at the NYS.
