    Sons v Doonhamers

Steven Kirkland is the referee at the Rock on Saturday.

Last seen at Palmerston on Hogmanay vs. Ayr United.

The proverbial 6 pointer this one for Queens, - as we need to stretch away from the likes of Dumbarton.

A wee win against the Sons would set us up nicely for the visit of Hibs to Palmy a week on Saturday.

Three point would certainly help Queens position and more importantly get us closer to the mix for the play off positions after months having been in the doldrums. If they play with the same commitment and verve as has been the case recently then I am fairly confident of a positive result in Dumbarton. The signings seem to have kick started the whole team once again and the future is much more encouraging and I am much less apprehensive of the visit of Hibs the following week than I was around the turn of the year. Mon the South.

Now doubt Mr Naysmith will have had the Sons watched on Saturday and by all accounts although beaten they played really well and had Hibernian under lots of pressure especially in the second period. Also going by all the Sunday / Monday newspapers they were well worth a share of the points at least so I'm expecting a hard game.

Should be a close encounter, although I'm hoping with the way Queens have played recently in Paisley and Dundee that Dumbarton are more worried about Queens than the other way round, in a third syccessive away match.

My only dilemma is the Sons having Lewis Vaughan, in their ranks from Raith. They played him in midfield against Hibs. He appears to be more of a striker, having scored a few goals against Queens before his long injury lay-off.

Really difficult game on Saturday, three points are a must for Queens, it's incredible that even after the run of poor results we have suffered, we are only six points from a play off place. Bringing a couple of SPL friends, hope it is a good game.

The feel good factor is coming back to going to matches as the results having been improving since Naysmith come in and especially when he brought in the new players and hopefully this well continue with 3 points today.

Dumbarton is also a tricky place to go (Dundee Utd lost twice 1-0 and Hibs only beat them twice 1-0) but I am feeling confident that Queens will win.

That's a massive 3 points for Queens today . These loan signings have been a revelation so far . That's 7 points from a possible 9 for our last 3 games , all away from home

Thomas was MOM for me. Fast , likes to take players on and very left footed. This left foot is a good one believe me. Up to fifth now !

We are now back in the mix - our aim is to scare the S H I T E out of Hibs when they visit Palmy next - I sense an excuting run in and an appearance in the Challenge Cup Final is imminent - getting the kilt pressed in case !
