High table finish, rather then play-offs

With Sheffield Wednesday beating Newcastle 2-1 and going 7 points clear of us with 5 games remaining, the play-offs are looking more and more slim and any chance of the top 6 failing to drop points on a consistent basis is unlikely, our best option is to end the season on good form and take it into next season and finish on a high.

I wasn't expecting playoffs, its just nice to see we're not just letting the season peta out. Building confidence by winning games, and also being able to try out different styles, its a long pre season which is good for the players (who will stay) and the coaching staff. I think we know who's staying now imo, and I think we know who might be off.

Just about keeping the momentum going and get as much points on the board as possible and plan for next season, make the squad stronger ready for a promotion push.

Don't chicken out, go for it. Like tomorrow, next season never comes.

I'm not chickening out, I'm looking at the bigger picture here RedBasie. With 5 games remaining and a possible 15 points up for grabs and the above teams having the slight advantage over us, and even if we happen to win all 5 of those games and the above teams win a few, it still wouldn't be enough for a play-off spot.

All we have to do is keep our momentum going and see what the conclusion is at the end of the campaign, if the above teams make a big slip up fantastic it's there for the taking but slim possibility that will occur.

Our objective is to finish the season on a high and end on good form and take it into next season.
