Correct gwru. We officially had 7500 home fans in but it probably 5500 if that, so that means 2,000 had tickets but didn't bother to turn up and not all of them would've been on holiday.

They must have added absent season ticket holders on. If there was a head count under 9,000 were inside the ground & that includes over 2,500 from Birmingham.
Poor fans Rotherham fans. They've spit dummy out. People go on about investment, competing in the championship. Only way we'll do that is for Rotherham people to back the club enough to extend the ground to 16,000 capacity. Sit on yr ars* & stay away if you want the club to slip into a lower league club.

What do you expect with the absolute dross we've been served up all this season?
If people have decided that they find it far more enjoyable doing something else on Good Friday than watching the bunch of failures that currently represent our football club then good luck to them.
This season has not been enjoyable in any shape or form so I'm not surprised in the slightest that people are thinking sod this I'm not going.
Worrying thing is that without the right progress over the summer yesterday's home crowd will be representative of what we'll achieve at best in league one, only the away end won't be full making a big dint in the clubs income.
But surely if fans stay away because of the dross but come when we're winning then your saying they are fickle fans ?
No people are exercising their right to expect value for money.
Can we expect to win every week in the championship? No we can't, even the most die hard fan understands that.
Can we expect a team who will compete and battle far better than we have this season? Yes to not compete in my eyes is by far the biggest crime of this season.
We've always had a die hard section of fans who'll turn up no matter what, I was there yesterday, I was there when 2,000 were in Millmoor watching Danny Begara's all stars and I'll still turn up next season as will most Millers of my generation and older.
The newer fans we have captured since our move to NYS represent the modern demographic who expect to be entertained, who expect value for money and who'll vote with their feet if they don't get it. People like being associated with success, they don't like being linked to failure.
Does it make them fickle, with my die hard 40 years a Miller through thick and thin glasses on, dam right it does, with an acceptance of modern society and how it works, no it doesn't.
The club need to put a winning team on the pitch from the start of next season or attendances will plummet and things will continue to get worse as a result.
Better get used to seeing plenty of empty seats because that will be the norm next season. Only difference is the away will mostly be empty as well.
You're obviously correct a123, but not all of them are the newby's.
10 years ago when we almost went out of business regular posters on this site said they'd support us even if we had to start from scratch in the local counties leagues, now some the same members, not mentioning any names are saying they're not renewing next season because we are in league 1.
Each to there own choice and it should be.
But to go when we're winning and not when we're losing could be perceived as fair weather fickle plastic or part time by some.
There's a big difference to loosing on points in a boxing match from throwing the towel in - and that's what we've done after Mr Millwall ran home to mummy.
Warne - no matter how nice he is - always wanted to be a fitness guy and didn't want the job.....and they do say that one volunteer is worth ten conscripts...Well - he's been conscripted!
We had a chance in November and I'll not mention Lord Voldemort...but the core reason we're rubbish is our central defence and barring injuries to others Lord Voldemort dropped all the worst culprits. Keeping these guys ever present since - and it only got worse showed a complete lack of managerial nouse.
PW played toe to toe football and lost a few games - ok - a lot of games - because of it.....
Shows a complete lack of professionalism - ambition & contempt for the fans.....Watching them loose through bad tactics isn't what I want to see....
And if you say they are inferior players
( we got what we could afford ) it has been said that the squad is seriously good enough to be marshalled into a defensive unit that's hard to beat. Remove the 3 - 4 bad apples in the window and we would have had a chance.
But mates were kept in place and the defence has deteriorated and is getting worse.
Warne can't learn how to rectify this on a two week course - and he sure hasn't shown any football nouse yet.
PS: And going forward Yates...really ?
( but he's another nice lad )
