Surprised, delighted in one way, disappointed in another. Happy there was no Tory landslide...can't see how May can survive as a lame duck PM in constant need of support from the unpleasant DUP.

Think she's lost all credibility as the PM to lead the Brexit negotiations. Yet another Tory leader who has got it totally wrong in trying to strengthen her own and her party's position at the country's expense.

An autumn election with a more credible Corbyn and an Abbott less Labour Party possibly against a Tory party led by the divisive 'foot in mouth' Johnson would be difficult to predict.

I've always wanted a liberal/centre left coalition - 'for the many not the few' - to govern the country and I suspect that prospect seems a little closer than it did, but how we as a country muddle through the imminent Brexit dealings with all this domestic unrest and disharmony I don't know. For me it's yet more evidence, as we stagger on into more chaos, confusion and uncertainty, of how much damage that bloody ridiculous referendum has done to this country and along with the inept Cameron, Johnson is probably the next most culpable for that.

That's what was said of Corbyn a couple of months ago.

Really? After the last twelve months, no one - except Paul Nuttall - is 'unelectable'. Do hope you're right though.

No I mean unelectable from within the party. Yes he has some popularity within the base and might win the final runoff, but to get to that and get support from MPs in the first few rounds, that's going to be tough after he shot himself in the foot by running then abandoning.
Plus I dunno what's so supposedly great about him in terms of charisma? He talks in a strange halting way, gives an impression of aloofness and is very gaffe prone. A disaster in waiting if elected party leader. Maybe because of his clownish ways, he gets by with some voters and is clearly a media darling. But is it enough? Plus I don't think he's very well liked by fellow MPs.

Honestly, I think Osbourne has a better chance than him, maybe even that toad Gove

Think you might have to be an MP to be leader, Romanis. Osborne is now a newspaper editor. Gove has marginally more chance but is a complete joke...disloyal and out of touch in equal measure.
Your choices seem to be Amber Rudd, Bozo, 'Dickie' Davies, Liam Fox, Hammond or IBS (again)...doesn't bode well does it?

Yes Osbourne has to find a by election. Liam Fox or Davies. I prefer Leadsom. But Hammond is the favourite
