About 8pm there was a bad accident at main crossroads near NYS/Moulders. Lots of police, including helicopter landing, ambulance crews, etc. Main Street was closed off for the rest of the night. Police have not released details yet, also not sure if roads have re-opened this morning.

Orange BMW in collision with a cyclist, sadly the cyclist in his 20's died RIP
19 year old been arrested but released under investigation

Just been into town - Main Street and NYS/Moulders crossroad are now open again

The helicopter flew over my house first thought ,was it the ambulance helicopter . RIP and condolences to his family

It might have been an air ambulance, I was too far away to see the exact markings on the helicopter

M1 j34-35 shut due to a serious crash which one person died RIP
causing a lot of delays around he area

Yep Wortley Road jammed even at 3 0'clock today, hate to think what it was like in the rush hour.
