How exactly is that struggling? Given that none of the teams put out are likely to resemble the team that Rowett will pick for the first league game of the season?

Although friendlies are to build up match fitness and to try and play new systems we should still be playing hard for the win. Football is now at a different level especially in the Championship as every team wants the golden tickets to the Premiership!

90+% of players are tuned like racehorses to maximise their full potential but there are only 3 prizes, reporters saying that we are struggling in pre season friendlies are talking twiddle but one thing for sure is it isn't going to be easy to get a top 6 finish and never will be.

I don't care who and where you play there is no such thing anymore as an easy game and the only way to win is to give everything for the full 90 minutes as nothing else will get you to the promised land!

I think we'll have a tough season in store as I still think that we have a few players who won't give that 100%.

I think you should 'out' them mista, your assessment is better than most. Your comment about Nugent is already raising my blood pressure, I agree with you if he pulls on the shirt he should be taking it seriously be it v. Chelsea or Cheltenham. I was unimpressed with him last year and hope he doesn't just see us as a mealticket

Maybe a bit early for that mista, but you see more than most and are more objective than many so perhaps you should name your concerns.
Think Mop is spot on. There are at least eleven other clubs - Villa, Cardiff, Fulham, Hull, Leeds, Boro', Norwich, Reading, Wednesday, Sunderland and Wolves - who have as much pedigree, as many resources and as realistic a sense of entitlement, as far as promotion is concerned as us, and there will always be one or two dark horses (think Huddersfield) who take everyone by surprise. (Bristol City, Forest and Sheff. Utd perhaps).
If, for once, we can get off to a decent start, find the one or two missing 'jigsaw' pieces and stay lucky with injuries then we could well be in with a good chance. An input of proper team spirit and 'bottle' has also been the missing ingredient in recent years and hopefully Rowett is the man to address that, but as things stand I can't see further than Sunderland, Villa or Boro' for a top two finish.

Who came up with this idea that we are struggling in pre-season what a load of tosh, we won 3 and drawn 1 and lost 0 up to now heading into Saturday's game against Kaiserslautern so where they got thier analysis from that we are struggling must of been pulled straight out from under their arse.

Our on the spot roving reporter who roves the confines of his bedroom to bring us all the news that is the news based on random gossip websites.

On the ball 24/7 searching for tittle tattle, except when Mummy tells him to change his underpants as its Monday and wash day, and he has to chisel them off.

Oh and not forgetting eating the water biscuits that are, Syd Barrett like, pushed under the bedroom door for when the post recreational drug munchies strike.

Yep its all glamour out there at the coalface of intrepid reporter R4J's existence. I was going to say "life" but thought better of it....

Really! Another clueless comment from the troll brigade that just pulled it straight from their arse and straight on the ignore list.
