    half time beers

just wondering how people got on getting a beer on the kop on sat. we got into the ground bout 2.50 but were told they had sold all the half time beer vouchers.

had a peek down at ht and the voucher queue looked huge. there were a few times last season we didn't get to the front of the voucher queue til 2nd half was due to start, was it any better sat?

Well the Catering at the Lane has surpassed itself. Not only do they have the ability to run out of everything before you get served including basic items like water they've now run out of vouchers You should go to the other side of the Kop at the Cherry Street end. All last season only around 20 people had vouchers at HT, after serving them then they took the intelligent decision to close the serving hatch whilst pissing off a few hundred of us in the other 4 queues. I missed the first five minutes of the second half of nearly every home match, the exception being the last game when they took the enlightened decision to have a bottle bar at one of the hatches. On Saturday the voucher queue looked busier than usual but it still finished early. I managed to just make the start of the second half after standing for 15 minutes because they realised its better to open an additional serving hatch to reduce the level of abuse the staff are getting. Just need the light to go off in someone's head that the spare hatch could be utilised again as a bottle bar and we'll get to the front quicker to be told there's nothing left.
