Are you an 'early leaver'? Do you suffer at the hand of 'stayers'? Are you mocked for trying to make a head start out of the blocks BEFORE the full time whistle? An awful crime that should be punishable in the eyes of some.

Never fear, a support group is at hand, today I have been to my second session at 'Early Leavers Anonymous' after the shame of going through the doors two weeks ago I finally managed after an hour to stand up in front of everybody and say................My name is Minn, and I'm an early leaver.

God, the shame! I couldn't look anybody in the eye, the support shown to me though was enlightening, I couldn't believe how many suffer in silence. One guy managed to admit he's been leaving on the 80 min mark for 6 years, poor fella' he was a broken man, stood there head bowed and in tears.

On a positive note, I left the Bournemouth game on the 89th minute, after my first session of counselling I managed to leave the Stoke game yesterday on 90+2, awful I know, a full 2 mins short of the 90+4 mins but still, a huge improvement.

Thanks to the support group Iv managed to confront my problems in small steps, I encourage others to do the same, today they showed an informative video on combating your mental issues with this problem, it was fantastic...............

...............there was a real moral to the story at the end...fcuk knows what is was though, I had to fcuk off early!!😆

This poster then watched the second half in blissful ignorance.

I'm sure he only found out the result when he read the paper the next day!!

The most crucial part of any game, is if you are winning 1-0 and the opposition are pressing for an equaliser and you see people leaving to get home a bit earlier. Unbelievable, why bother coming?
I try not to respond to personal insults, that would be too easy and people only get the hump.

Glad to see that you don't respond to personal insults; perhaps, as one of our moderators, you should respond when others post insults against posters - we've lost some very good posters from this board over the last few years and quite honestly, I wonder why I continue. If it wasn't for Phild and his prediction scheme, which is a lot of fun, I most likely would have by now.

I try to let it flow as much as possible. Football is all about opinion and banter, and some boards are so strictly regulated they are devoid of fun.
Some clever and witty people come on here and i try to give free rein, though i do remove abusive or meaningless posts.

And your thoughts on people who go for an early p I s s at half time Des?

I'm bloody sure I recall you missing a Swansea goal and being oblivious to the actual match result a few seasons ago!?

It was Reading Mick, the first time we did the barge. We had been drinking since 9 am and i thought we had won 2-1 instead of 3-1.
I didn't leave early though, barges aren't the quickest at getaways.
