    Newcastle Abused Tax System

HMRC have come to terms that after tax officials raided their stadium back in April and after thoroughly looking at the evidence they have declared that Newcastle Utd did abuse the tax system on secretly making payments to agents and players during transfers.

Newcastle Utd have made a statement by saying: “We are disappointed with this decision given the courts findings.
“We are considering all our options with our advisers, including whether to pursue an appeal.”

Makes me sick that despite all the money they have at their disposal they still want to try and cheap skate their way out of thousands of pounds and pay off agents and players to avoid paying taxes and only pay the signing on fee to save money and the thought that they would get away with it and avoid the consequences is mind boggling because not only has this jeopardised the reputation of football as a whole, it’s also jeopardised Newcastle Utd as well and looks bad for both parties and with the thought of seeing how Sepp Blatter and co turned out well they obviously didn’t learn a thing or two from it.

Football never changes same old same old.

I dont know why I care but the above is a dangerously libellous statement once more and should be deleted or at worst closed.

This court judgement referenced relates to the grounds for the validity of the issuance of seizure of records orders, not to the allegations themselves.

The headline to the BBC says "Newcastle United 'abused tax system', HMRC alleges"

The key word here is "alleges" which the BBC article makes clear. The reposter on the other hand has made the courts decision on the tax fraud case itself for them.

Nothing personal, no bullying, its just plain wrong and libellous and could jeopardise the forum. HMRC have not "declared" anything merely alleged it as part of an in progress investigation

Nuf said: perhaps the OP can delete his own post and just leave a naked link if anything.

'Ramjet's Alive!'...with apologies to 'Flash'...and with him a belated and welcome return to common sense.

Bet it doesn't make a blind bit of difference though.

On your own head be it. One day you will learn, but I suspect it will not be until your "mouth" has cost you everything you own. You cannot continue to make false allegations on a public forum without finally having to face the wrath of those you malign. For your sake I hope this is something that happens sooner rather than later so you dont lose a car, house or savings etc but really I dont care about you - but you will also bring down the forum with your loose cannon of a gob.

Consider it trashing if you want but I urge you for once in your life to listen with your ears, not listen with your mouth as is your usual practice. Remove this complete falsehood or be prepared to justify why you both posted untruths and then, when it was explained to you that what you have said was untrue, still stubbornly refused to back down. Bye bye and may your dreams not be haunted by Mike Ashleys lawyers.

Weird how some harmless posts by sensible, intelligent members are immediately subject to comment as bullying, putting new posters off etc etc and/or deleted by mods but posts which are clearly contrary to the best interests of the MB remain uncensored with no apparent logical action taken!!

Yep, this investigation could easily end up in criminal proceedings as well as civil actions in respect of the tax offences and should not be subject to uninformed judgements and comment. But hey ho.... at least the closing down of the board will end the squabbling over whether its dead or not!!

Interestingly on the Newcastle board, where they have more reason than any to complain, they have taken the cautious route and understood what the particular story means.

To quote the linked BBC article.....

"HMRC argued that reasonable grounds existed for believing Newcastle United was ''knowingly involved'' in a multimillion-pound tax fraud, and the club's application for judicial view was dismissed."

If anyone I liable it's the BBC. The poster is commenting on their interpretation of the Article.

To clarify clearly HMRC must have a strong belief this is the case to persuade it! It would suggest that the evidence they collected probably/possibly supports this.

No point explaining to Roger he just consider it as a threat to the forum and reply with trash so just ignore replying to him and he go run away and hide because he can’t bare the thought of no one giving in, to his demands.
