Stewards scared of Evan's foul mouth

I was at the latest Notts hiccuping session maybe gripe water is needed ? I sat behind the Notts dugout only to spend the whole match listening to the foul mouth of Steve Evans a constant barrage of four letter filth to which the bottle county stewards chose to ignore even thitherward were many young children in earshot. In the second half a young ****age Notts fan probably as sick if hearing the foul mouthed slob ,and probably thought it was ok Todo the same told Evans "to shut his f*****g fat mouth ,two wrongs obviously don't make a right ,but the lad was immediately rebuked by the steward and then the big macho supervisor came over to give him the mean stare ???? Does this price a case of cowardice and bullying on the part of these macho stewards ? Come on Notts sort it out !

I was literally thinking similar. I took my 4 year old and find it ironic that a Notts fan was ticked off by the stewards, but a group of 'supporters' were persistently shouting obscenities, the closest steward found it funny. These lads were not funny, there was nothing witty about any of their banter, they sounded stupid and thick.
A group of kids booing the Mansfield players warming up was funnier than these louts.

I'd have thought that with all the current news headlines about harassment at work that no official should have to put up with that. Sheridan got the sack for it. The ref can easily send an offender into the stands. When we next face Mansfield someone should record Evans, most phones now have quite good recording facilities, and then put the recording on the net.

As for the stewards, well they're big men aren't they? Taught not to take on anyone bigger than themselves though I doubt they have any jurisdiction on what's happening on the pitch or pitch side.

Evans must be the most foul mouthed, obnoxious excuse for a human being ever. He was non stop mouthing last night. And some on here wanted this slob representing our club..brilliant.

If Mansfailed don't start winning regularly and get up the league then "Fat Boy Evans" will have been booted out unceremoniusly by Caroline and John long before they return to Meadow Lane in the spring. Being County's bogey team is one thing, beating the rest of the league seems to be another. If they carry on like this their season will revolve around whether Chesterfield can stay in the league.

    Side.
This is the correct answer, Evans was reported to the officials during the game and at half time, which was the correct procedure. We can't go to any manager or any of his staff. We can intervene if there is any physical violence only.

There were a few present last night who would have liked to have given some physical violence to the foul mouthed dog.

I would ask why nobody reported him to the police?
As Steward says, the stewards have limited powers (unless you are 10 and standing up) so bypass them and force the police to do something.

Drama queen reaction and a step too far in my opinion. While Steve Evans probably goes a bit OTT, I prefer a manager who shows a bit of passion to the McParland type just standing there with arms folded. The reduced crowd probably made it a bit more audible last night, and it's true that kids shouldn't have to hear that kind of thing, but surely the police have more important things to do?

All Plod had to do was tap him on the shoulder and suggest he moderate his language, two minutes of old fashioned police work. If the steward thought if necessary to complain to the officials and nothing happened then escalate it or shut up in the first place. It would be drama queen if some oik was giving out the verbals in the middle of town so why should that behaviour be acceptable in the football ground?
