    U17s World Cup final

So in the last six months our under 19s win the World Cup.
Our under 21s get to the Euro semis.
Tomorrow our under 17s play Spain in the World Cup final.

Yet our sh1te 'grown up' national side play no better than your average Sunday morning pub side.

The demise is nothing to do with the Premier League, obviously.

With the money in the premier league, especially at the top, i'm glad the England youngsters below the so called senior side are tasting glory. The youngsters deserve a chance at the highest level in England, but it's rare you will see more than a few become regulars. They often will have to drop down a division or two to get noticed.

Having been 2-0 down to Spain, England have just taken the lead against Spain in the final 3-2. Gibbs White with the equaliser. As I type Spain have had an effort cleared of the line.

A fifth goal watched by a massive crowd, must be near 80,000.

Let's be real here, this is a wonderful achievement and most of these lads should go on to accomplish great things.

Unfortunately I won't be holding my breath, the greedy quick fix league will put a stop to any of these youngsters going on to reach the potential that is evidently there.

No need to worry Abbs, we went on to win it 5-2.
But even though its at a younger level, thats 2 yes 2 World cups and a Euro cup our youngsters have won this year. Now thats impessive going by anybodys standards isnt it. Lets see what their development will mean in the next 4-5 years for example.

While the Bbc pundits were banging on about it being boring and uninspiring watching the England first team these days (and I cant disagree with that actually), I refused to take it from the likes of Kevin 'who' Kilbane who says hes no England fan at all etc. Hes as English as you and me of course, but he chose to play in the England B team called Rep Ireland.
