    Dark horses?

    Bristol City.

Scoring a few, playing well under an excellent young manager who has finally been allowed to manage a decent club.

    We shall see.

Bristol City, Cardiff and Sheffield United are not clubs I expected to see in the top 6. Yet they sit in the 2-4 spots. Championship proves once again it is incredibly competitive and unpredictable.

When the League cup draw was made I stated that I fancied City to beat Stoke, which the did, and followed that up by knocking Palace out. They are certainly playing well and are being underestimated by many clubs. If they can avoid suspensions and injuries, they should be in the shakeup come May.

Its what makes this league so much better than the over rated Premship.
So we're a third of the way into the season and Sheff Utd really are the surprise team, and what worries me is they could be up there all season. I was never impressed with Cardiff & Ipswich for example when they both won their first 4 games, and admittedly theres no knocking Bristol City's form at the moment.
Who would have thought both Hull & Sunderland would be doing so poorly at this stage after coming down last season, and it cost Larry Grayson his job of course last week.
