Another that we failed to keep and who we should have got more from. We didn’t look after him very well. He managed to go off to Poland and has eventually earned £1.35M move to wolves
He was immense for them the other night.
The XI from players we have let go in last five to ten years would be amazing.
Starting with the goalkeeper though I’m struggling .... Cammy Bell...🤔
Would have to try and have Douglas in the team as well as Andy Robertson - not a bad left flank overlapping
tbf BD was decent and nothing more at tannadice. had a great left foot on him but defensively was pretty poor!!
i dont think anyone bothered too much when he left. by moving to europe he would have gained different experiences and coaching which has obviously allowed him to improve.
he is completely different to the player that was at tannadice because here he was an average player
He was, as has been said many times before, average at best for United, no more than that. I wasn't fussed when he left, and I doubt if all but a small few were either. I still wouldn't change what happened, we got the best left back Scotland's produced in decades. Some get through the net, one that I would have liked to have seen us keep on is the boy Jack Hendry at the Fun, by all accounts he's been one of the few bright lights of their season so far, and has been singled out as a future internationalist by Brendan Rodgers. Why we let him go, I have no idea.
On Douglas though, well done to the guy, he's done very well to make the best of what he has, not may Scots have the balls to take themselves out their comfort zone and try their hand in Poland and Turkey, certainly none have done so as successfully as Douglas has, 3 trophies and however many European ties in 3 years is some going.
Thon mazy run on his own 6-yard line at McDiarmid park though.![]()
