SSN claim that both sides say that a deal could be agreed in next two weeks.
Apparently Chris Mort (who worked on Ashley's takeover) is now working for Amanda Staveley's PCP takeover.
Aye, just heard that.
He was a good link between Ashley/the club and the fans-seemed a really good fella.
Got to be a good thing.
If Fatman and Boy Blunder are gone by the New Year I'll be over the moon, still don't trust the f*ckers though going by their past. Yes, it was good to hear that Mort is on the scene, he always seemed a decent guy, maybe he will get his old job back if there is a takeover.
this is Ashley's best chance to get rid of the club at a price as close to what he wants. If he fecks this up, we will never get rid of him until we have been bled dry and have no assets left.
The woman is a top class financier and has billions of investment funds from the middle east and asia backing her up, there wont be anyone bigger to make an offer, if he wants to sell, now is the time to cut and run for mike.
By Jan 1st we could be very much in the bottom 5 of the table.
if anyone can pheck this up ash can
but in his eyes if he doesnt get what he wants he wont sell
why would he
the club with the new tv money can easily be self funding if not ambitious
he has a strong hand
and who says her clients want her to spend loads of their money on us with no return
they are investors
where are they going to get a decent return on half -1 billion pounds invetsment from us
I reckon £300 million and two years as the main advertiser around the ground also something like,£25% for his company from merchandise. So the club cost him £134.4m and interest free loan £129m so £263.4m profit of £37.4m. Canny deal and the southern numpty can feck off.
Is it just me that is just a tad concerned about our future owners. All we know is that Ms Stavely is representing people who are interested in buying a football club. We know diddly squat about them.
A bit of food for thought......
Seven years ago this week, Blackburn Rovers were bought by Venky's.
They were 14th in the Premier League.
Yesterday they traveled to Oxford, sixth in League One.
