    Radio Nottingham Sport Presenters

Just heard some of the Forest post reaction / commentary. Think we now have the best out of the lot of them in Charlie Slater and Mark Stallard, in fact I’d say Stallard could go on to bigger things he seems really natural at it and comes across natural and insightful. Charlie Slater has been a breath of fresh air, he’s really settled into the position, nice to hear Colin Slater every now and again but the change had to be made IMO.

The drivel and excuses that Colin Frey spouts is embarrassing, still living in the past thinking Forest are bigger than they are, to be fair Steve Hodge says it usually as it is, I think Frey maybe the clubs puppet, if I supported the F word I wouldn’t be happy as he almost promotes their living in the past thinking and constant excuses in losing games, take today ref this, should have had a penalty etc. To be fair to the others I think David Jackson and the other one (can’t remember his name ) are good anchors for their programmes and fairly balanced.

Fray hates saying anything negative about them, and always looks for excuses when they lose. Did he say Cardiff deserved to win, what I witnessed was a woeful display of continual back passing everytime they got past halfway line. Never looked like scoring.

Spot on regarding Frey , " surely ref " is all I am here him say . I know its a local commentators job to promote their team but this prats bias knows no bounds ! Your also right about Hodge , usual calls it as it is , cant see him lasting long,

Strange that you should bring up this subject as I was talking about it with my Bro a few minutes ago! as a Notts fan it's very rare I have any reason to listen to Forest commentary but today I did & it was "cringe worthy"never have I listened to such a biased take on a game, including setting a stop watch on corners/throw ins etc, I am all for supporting the team that you are covering but this was beyond that!

I think he needs a reality check, as to what Forest are, an average Championship team. I do seriously think it doesn’t help Forest going forward as it’s a very similar situation to what Notts was in with Colin Slater last season and before, it may do them some good with a change of commentary team like Notts and a realistic perspective on things. Things look a lot more positive on everything Notts now.

Both Radio Red and the Red Rag are mouthpieces for Forest.
Forest can do no wrong in their eyes and are still part of the footballing Elite in their opinion.

20 articles about Forest, then one about Notts.

They are a much bigger club and have a much bigger fanbase.

I don't like the "little old Notts" thing but it's never going to change.

Its called being the smaller team in the City.

I caught a bit late in the 2nd half and heard Fray say "If we can get a goal back we can go on to win it". I didn't realise they were losing 2-0 at the time. I also heard the "Let's put a clock on the corner" comment as well. As if Forest wouldn't do the same if they were winning!
